Meet Hoodo Ibrahim, NP
With over 24 years of clinical experience, I bring a hands-on, compassionate approach to care. I believe healthcare services should be accessible, individualized, and empowering. Health care services should be delivered with dignity, respect, and with a real connection between provider and service recipient. Individuals should never be expected to navigate through a complex system when they need a healthcare provider.
I hold a Master of Science in Nursing and a Family Nurse Practitioner degree from D’Youville College in Buffalo, NY. My certifications include Addiction Medicine, Palliative Care, CNA’s Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing, etc.
I took a long journey to get to where I am today, from PSW, RPN, RN, NP, and everything in between. Each of those educational levels has provided me with hands-on clinical experiences, which have made me a better clinician. Although I bring diverse clinical expertizes as a frontline nurse, team lead, educator/faculty, clinical manager, NP, and so on; however, I consider family primary care services, mental health, and addiction clinical fields to be my greatest expertise.
I believe in lifelong learning and have actively contributed to nursing professional organizations, like the RNAO, by holding voluntary leadership and editorial roles. I am proud to be a contributor to the Nurses’ Guide to Psychotherapy book and the Vision for Tomorrow Task Force report publications. I am a member of several advocacy tables in my current organization and the greater community to promote Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion initiatives.
I am passionate about the delivery of low-barrier, equitable, and evidence-informed care to those often left out of the traditional systems.
